Learning English in the USA.

I enjoyed Japanese Business associationa and Japanese assocication’s group picnic on Sepember 27.It was a wonderful day. I drove my car to the Golden Ranch.I thought that it might be amazing because there are a lot of Japanese in such a remoto area.I thought car is very important in our life, Houston TX.It is very hard for us to live in TX withour car.

It is important for me to drive a car, because I am lerning English from my friends at my car. When I drive my friends, it is good opportunity for me to speak to them in English.We talk about a lot of things and joke around.Actually, My car is some kind of English conversation school.It looks like driving school Ryugaku.

When I heard “Turn right at the light.” I did not understat what he said, because it sounds like,”tarn right at the right, (ターンライト、アット、ザ、ライト、そこの信号で，右に曲がってくれ)I stopped my cat at the red light, I asked my friend,What’s the differnece of the pronunciation between right and light”.My friend cannot answer my question.another my friend asked me , get in the freeway from the ramp’. I started to find lamp. I did not understand how can I get in the freeway from a lamp.As a matter of fact , It is hard for Japanese to listen L and R sound. It is almost impossible.

I have a lot of crazy stories about learnig English at my car. When My friend asked me,”Stop at the curb （そこのカーブで止めてくれ）I though Curve（Curve,曲がり道)I stopped at a curve.My American friend said,”why did you stopped at the Curve!it is almost impossible for me to understand the diffrence between curve and curb.

Looking back on my American life, I learned a lot when I was driving,. I often argued with my friends about stupid things. I almost fight with my friends.The most arguments are stupid things. Should we use drive through or not?. Which way is the shortest? Etc., As a result, I could improved my English.When we drive our friends, we have a plenty of time.Sometime, it is difficult for us to find a topic for our conversation.But it is a great opportunity to learn English.Of course, we must drive safely.
